From our first ever tasting event in the LKF bar, a SOLD OUT tasting event with Nikka whisky & exciting collaborations coming up!

It’s been a whole lot of fun hosting tasting events at Yum Sing House in the recent months. We have had the pleasure of collaborating  with Nikka Whisky & Suntory to celebrate their premium spirits coupled with thoughtfully paired dishes by our head chef Aiven Lee.  From intimate tasting events in our LKF bar to our first SOLD OUT event in the dining space with Nikka Whisky, the atmosphere has been brimming with high spirits as all our guests tasted & revelled in all things whisky.  

For those who missed out or share a love & appreciation for whisky, we have an upcoming whisky tasting event in collaboration with Launceston Distillery. We are especially excited to be hosting this one as the Tasmanian whisky scene has really come of age over the past two decades, thanks to the island’s temperate climate & vast amounts of barley & peat. It started back in the 1980’s when Bill Lark set up his first still pot and the rest is history. Tasmania is synonymous with a healthy disregard of time, and a deep appreciation of the dram, think world renowned Sullivan’s Cove, ground breaking Lark.

Launceston Distillery pride themselves on traditions & skilful craftsmanship to produce some of the finest quality Tasmanian single malt whisky. The distillery is located in the heart of northern Tasmania, where there is an abundance of local barley, pure water, rich soils & clean air to craft their premium single malt whisky. 

Join us on Thursday the 19th of August for a bespoke dining experience showcasing a selection of 5 whiskies from Launceston Distillery paired with a specially made 5 course dinner. Head chef, Aiven Lee equipped with his breadth of food knowledge, craftsmanship & love for whisky has curated dishes to fuse with the sip of each dram. 

The fun doesn’t stop when the tasting event ends, kick on afterwards in our karaoke bar or enjoy 50% off room hire fee, if you’d like to sing the night away!

It brings us great joy to host one-off & recurring events that focus on creating moments, celebrating all things food & drinks & collaborating with fellow brands who share the same love & passion for the hospitality industry.
